  • If the day of making the paths and walkways is windy or breezy then you can water the straw so that they settle up and make some weight by absorbing the water and do not get blown away.

Use Straw to Improve Seed Germination:

  • You can also use the straw to improve seed germination. In case you do struggle with seed germinating then you can use a layer of the straw to cover them. 
  • Finding out that the seeds are failing to germinate due to moisture failure or maintaining the temperature makes it tough for the seed to germinate.
  • For example, when planting the seeds of carrots and beets you can find this situation commonly.
  • in case these seeds are not able to germinate due to dry out between the time of planting and sprouting.
